Hey, I’m Meg the face, signature, and celebrant behind holyhitchedboutique, and probably the only person who’ll admit I got into this whole wedding gig by accident.
Because no, I don’t live for weddings or dream of holding a microphone for 20 minutes of fame in front of your fam and friends.
I’m not your average celebrant and that’s kind of the point.
I bring a mix of empathy, dark humour, and dry honesty that keeps things real and ridiculous in equal measure.
Whether it’s a ten-minute Sip ’n’ Sign or a full-blown party, I make sure your ceremony hits exactly how it should real, funny, emotional, and completely you. No “dearly beloved.” No giving permission to kiss.
I’m here for couples who care more about the story than the spectacle, the ones who want their ceremony to feel like them.
Before I became a celebrant, I spent 10 years in the Army which means I’m excellent at pretending to know what’s going on, following orders I didn’t agree to, and keeping a straight face in absolute chaos. Turns out, those skills transfer perfectly to weddings.
When I’m not marrying legends, I’m usually chasing after my two little besties (my son and daughter) or being followed around by my super clingy dog.
I love anti-traditions, legal ‘rule-breakers,’ and an extra icy iced latte.
I know I’m not the perfect fit for everyone, and that’s more than okay.
