How It All Started

I first dipped my toes into the wedding world when one of my best friends asked me to make their big day officially official. So, I did what any best friend would do—I went and got myself a Certificate IV in Celebrancy, thinking it’d be a one-time thing. Next thing I knew, I was applying to the Attorney General’s Office to become a registered wedding celebrant.
I officiated my bestie’s wedding, and it turns out, I had way too much fun. So, I figured, “Why not do this for real?” And here I am—turning ‘I Do’ into an art form—without the boring bits.
A wedding party standing on a paved road in front of a forest of tall trees, with mountains in the background. The group includes the bride in a white dress and the groom in a suit, along with bridesmaids in red dresses and groomsmen in dark suits, holding bouquets and smiling.
I love getting to know couples and hearing their stories—especially the juicy plot twists! But more than anything, I want to know you like a friend, not just as a celebrant ticking boxes. Meeting with your celebrant shouldn’t feel like a job interview where you’re trying to impress—no one’s handing out gold stars here!
The best part of what makes you you is when you're relaxed, real, and maybe even a little weird. When you’re comfortable enough to just be yourselves, that’s when the magic happens—and that’s how we create a ceremony that’s totally, unapologetically you. Your day, your way.
I’m also a big advocate for having friends or family marry you. They bring the right vibe—whether it’s sentimental, silly, or a little bit of both—and make the whole ceremony feel natural and totally you. Plus, let’s be real—having someone you actually like up there with you makes it way less awkward and way more awesome. I’m here to help make that happen too!

Making Your Ceremony Totally You

More Than just a Celebrant – My Story

A young child sitting in a stuffed animal chair wearing overalls, a white shirt, a white headband, and holding a small toy or candy, with a curious expression and finger near the mouth.
A young girl with blue eyes wearing a straw hat with ribbons, holding a tabby kitten with striped fur and green eyes.
An infant girl lying on a white crocheted blanket, wearing a pink lace jacket, matching bonnet, cream pants, and socks.
Some people stumble upon their calling. Me? I tripped over mine, face-first, in the most unexpected way. What started as a half-serious joke about officiating one of my bestie’s weddings quickly spiraled into, "Oh hell, are we actually doing this?" to "Bro, we are actually doing this!"
A Certificate IV in Celebrancy and a few formalities with the Attorney General’s Office later—boom. I was a legit civil celebrant. Fast forward to my bestie’s wedding day, my very first time officiating. There I was, standing (panicking) before a sea of teary-eyed guests, all in awe of the breathtaking bride. Meanwhile, I was gripping the microphone, trying to keep it together as her four-year-old blessed the audience with a perfectly timed swear word. It was equal parts emotional, chaotic, heartfelt, and downright hilarious.
Then my mind drifted back to the night she first went out with her soon-to-be husband, when, on a dare, she jumped into a fountain like a scene straight out of a rom-com—only to be swiftly escorted out by security, dripping wet. Honestly, it’s a miracle they survived that night, and now here I was, about to make them husband and wife.
At that exact moment, standing in front of a crowd of people, I realised this is what it’s meant to feel like. This is what I want to do for real life. Not just signing paperwork and saying the official bits, but capturing the absolute joy, chaos, and love that makes a wedding day unforgettable.
For me, this isn’t just a job—it’s a full-blown passion project. I’m here to be more than just your celebrant. I’ll be your hype person, your legal document wrangler, your voice of calm when your second cousin starts drama, and, if needed, your emergency tissue provider.
I love creating ceremonies that are authentic, fun, and filled with love, laughter, and those perfectly imperfect moments. I’ll even handle the boring legal stuff and let your actual best friend read your ceremony script (if you trust them, that is)
So, if you’re after a celebrant who’s equal parts professional and vibing with you on a “this should be fun" level, send me a message. Let’s make your wedding day as special and maybe as unexpectedly awesome as my own journey into this wild, wonderful world of celebrancy.
